Description
Percentage of medical patients aged 18 and older who were screened for tobacco use one or more times within 24 months and who received cessation counseling intervention if identified as a tobacco user. The Tobacco Use measure was revised in 2016 and is not comparable to prior years. This measure was aligned with a specific clinical measure, CMS138v6, used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
