Description
Displays the percentage of the total population self-identified as Non-White. This indicator has changed from previous years. Due to the way the Census Bureau reports data for the U.S. Territories we have changed the way we are counting “Non-White” for all of the states and territories. Previously the “Non-White” category did not include Hispanic people who were white. Because race and ethnicity are not reported separately for the territories, all Hispanic people regardless of race are now included in the “Non-White” category.
